Nursing Home Negligence
When you entrust the care of a loved one to a nursing home, you expect that your loved one will receive excellent care. Nursing homes are defined as long-term care facilities in Illinois, and therefore, they must comply with the standards set forth in the Nursing Home Care Act. Residents of nursing homes have certain rights under the Nursing Home Care Act, including the right to be free from abuse or neglect, and the right to be free from unreasonable restraint. If a resident’s rights are violated, the Act allows for the nursing home resident to seek money damages for any injury caused by neglect, abuse, or other violations of the Act.
Mr.Saletta has successfully prosecuted cases involving nursing home negligence and has recovered hundreds of thousands of dollars on behalf of nursing home residents for injuries sustained due to violation of rights under the Nursing Home Care Act.
